I need help with this guy that i really like but my mom doesnt?

ok so there is a guy that asked me on a date and i went with him we had a ball and he likes me a lot and i like him a lot but when my mom and dad meet him they did not like him one bit so i went behind their back and keep talking to him until my mom caught me and grounded me and she told me that i had to get rid of him or else so i want to tell him cause he keeps fallowing me around and im afraid ill get in worse trouble but i just dont know how to tell him please help
