In every state I've ever lived in, pedestrians have the right of way over drivers, whether the pedestrian is in a marked crosswalk or not. The best way for you to cross there is to step off the curb and wait. By law, once you step off the curb, the cars are supposed to stop for you. They might, and they might not. Wait for them to either stop, or for a safe gap to cross. If you get hit, you might be right legally because you had the right of way, but you'll still be in the hospital or dead from getting hit by a car.
